Lower Back Pain

Lower Back Pain

lower back pain condition can be treated by our Physiotherapist

The lumbar spine, or low back, is a remarkably well-engineered structure of interconnecting bones, joints, nerves, ligaments, and muscles all working together to provide support, strength, and flexibility. However, this complex structure also leaves the low back susceptible to injury and pain.

Back pain is very common and usually improves within a few weeks or months.

But it’s a good idea to get help if:

  • the pain does not start to improve within a few weeks
  • the pain stops you doing your day-to-day activities
  • the pain is very severe or gets worse over time
  • seek immediate help if pain is spreading to your legs or you get tingling/numbness

Seek urgent help if you are experiencing:

  • numbness or tingling around your genitals or buttocks
  • difficulty peeing
  • loss of bladder or bowel control – peeing or pooing yourself
  • is worse at night.
