What is BPPV?
BPPV stands for Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo and is one of the common form of Vertigo
The physiotherapist will test your eye and neck movement, balance and reflexes in order to understand how the symptoms are affecting you. Where appropriate, they may perform “particle repositioning manoeuvres” for symptoms of BPPV, which has a 70%-90% success rate for treating the condition. For chronic symptoms of dizziness, vestibular rehabilitation guided by a specialist physiotherapist who can help to enhance gaze stability, postural control (for imbalance or falls), reduce vertigo associated with triggers and improve activities of daily living.
