Chlamydia & Gonorrhoea Screening
This test package allows you to get tested for both chlamydia and gonorrhoea at a discounted rate. These are common bacterial infections which are acquired through unprotected sexual contact, and which affect men and women equally.
Chlamydia and gonorrhoea are often found as active infections at the same time (co-infection), which is why they are frequently tested for together. They are also easily passed on, and the age group 16-24 is statistically at higher risk of contracting these infections.
Both of these diseases, if left untreated, can lead to infertility and other serious complications. If you are within this age group and having unprotected sex, it is recommended that you get tested regularly.
Preparing for test
To get the most accurate results, please hold urine for two hours before coming to the medical.
During the test
You will discuss your concerns with an experienced doctor. After examination you will produce the sample at the clinic.
